In the Philippines, the bill for cheaper medicine is being pushed from the congress to the senate up to the malacanang palace to be signed by the President. As one of the third world countries, people living here should be practical enough to be selective about medicines. In a world that faces global economic decrease or crisis, many aspects including costs of living is affected. In that sense, many people will give priority to their basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing neglecting now medicines or access on health care services. Bill for cheaper medicine is one of the solutions to the problem of having access on health care service paying particular attention to medicines. If the medicines will be significantly lower, at the most fundamental sense, common people or common tao as termed, will have the privilege to add up medical access as one of their basic needs. As the saying goes, health is wealth. By the time that this bill shall be implemented, hopefully it will be that way, and not health is for wealthy.
